A SPACE FOR ALL
Anyone who visits or works at RGS is engaged in a culture that values care and compassion for others and has a responsibility to ensure that a great experience is had by all.
Discriminatory remarks, attitudes or behaviour — racist, homophobic, sexist etc. — towards any group or characteristic at RGS are not acceptable. We are all part of making this theatre a welcoming, inspiring and inclusive space where everyone feels they belong.
As guests, employees, visiting performers or artists, and patrons of RGS, we are all responsible for our behaviour and actions within the space. We are all accountable for how we speak or act and should consider at all times how those actions might be affecting other people around us.
If you experience, or witness, a negative or discriminatory interaction here, let any member of staff know and we will take action. Speak to a member of the Front of House or Box Office team, or to the Director of Theatre, Mr Edwards
ARRIVAL TIME
The building will open 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of the performance. The auditiorium will open 15 minutes before.
If you have booked an accessible or wheelchair ticket, you may be able to enter the auditorium ahead of published times. Please contact us at boxoffice@reigategrammar.org to arrange this.
COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES
We are following Government guidelines and school policy to make sure that your visit is as safe as possible. We ask you to take the following precautions during your visit:
• Take a Lateral Flow Test or PCR test on the day of your visit. If it is positive, do not attend.
• If you are unwell, or displaying any common symptoms of COVID 19, please do not attend.
• If you can avoid it, please do not arrive too early for the performance.
• Everyone will be required to sanitise their hands before entering the building – sensor-operated hand sanitising stations will be positioned at the entrance and throughout the building.
• Following current advice, we strongly recommend and request that you wear a face mask for the entirety of the performance out of respect for other audience members and our companies and staff.
• We ask that you maintain social distancing as much as possible whilst attending a performance.
• For those that would still like to do so, you can download the NHSCOVID-19 app and check in once you arrive at the performance by scanning the QR code.
• Performance spaces will be purged prior to, during the interval and immediately after a performance. Please bring a coat, as the auditorium will be ventilated.
MOBILE PHONES, PHOTOGRAPHY & FILMING
Photography and filming of our audience will occasionally take place during performances and in our front of house areas, to help promote RGS Drama and our activities. If you do not wish to be photographed or have your image used in any promotional material, or if you would like a photo removed from any material, please email boxoffice@reigategrammar.org.
Once you’re seated in the auditorium, please switch your phone to aeroplane mode. Photos and filming are not allowed in the auditorium. We advise that you turn your phone to aeroplane mode (rather than switching it to silent) to make sure everyone’s experience is as enjoyable as possible.
FOOD & DRINK
To avoid congestion, our bar will only be open during the interval. Following the interval, you will be able to take drinks with you into the auditorium, but please make sure you return your glasswear and any rubbish to the bar area after the show.
You can take sweets and chocolate into the show with you but we ask for these items to be as quiet as possible (no wrappings) so that everyone can hear the action on stage. You cannot take hot food in with you.
