What we do
Drama skills give students an edge in a competitive workplace, and help students to become curious, sociable and courageous team players, capable of succeeding in a variety of situations.
We provide opportunities for all of our students to experience both drama and theatre in and beyond the classroom.
Our aim at RGS is to promote a wide ranging understanding of theatre and performance and to enable students to make critical, interpretative and creative judgements about the work they encounter.
The subject is taught by theatre specialists and skilled staff, who have as much passion for learning, as they do professional theatre experience. We are extremely proud of our outstanding academic success and our National profile.

The Concert Hall
A flexible space with an end-on raised stage and space for approx. 220 audience. Can also be used in-the-round. Most full productions take place in here.
The Drama Studio
A black box studio space, equipped with lighting and sound equipment. This is a teaching and rehearsal space, but occasionally is also used as a performance space, with a capacity of approx. 60
